Well the storm surge has struck! Kings Lynn and Wisbech have been affected. In Wisbech flood gates have been shut but water is still streaming through them in some places; road blocks have been put in place; sand bags are covering drains and businesses have been advised to clear their basements.
Keep an eye out for information and photos on the local news and in local newspapers.
This is especially useful for L6th geographers – it can act as an update to the local hazard section. Not as bad as the 1953 floods but some areas of the UK have been very badly hit.
